As we age our teeth can wear down. Many people grind their teeth at night accelerating this wear and shortening the teeth, creating a prematurely aged smile. If the teeth are not protected continued wear will eventually cause the loss of the damaged teeth.
At twenty one Dorothy had a great smile. At this age our teeth are usually at their best. Little wear of the adult teeth has occurred and the length and shape of the teeth gives the smile its youthful appearance.
Over the next 25 years Dorothy’s front teeth had worn down to just over half their original length. Concerned over the aging effect on her smile Dorothy chose to have a Smile Makeover using permanent ceramic veneers.
